sad news
Its taken me a while to post this as its been very hard to do.
We lost Moogle back in May. in the end her liver gave up but to the last she was the happy “moogalicious” girl we came to love very much indeed. Losing her left a huge hole in our hearts and our lives and we will certainly never forget her. She was only with us for a short time but in that time made a massive impact on us and all she met. She never showed any signs of aggression even when she was obviously in fairly major discomfort and was such a sweet natured dog in every way.
Whilst her condition when she came to us was managed well its impact on her organs/joints etc cant be disregarded and eventually her liver just stopped processing the proteins her body needed to survive.
Run free Moogle, I will always remember you – you truely were an inspirational dog and you had a positve impact on everyone who met you.
Hey.. why no updates?
you may have noticed a lack of updates recently.
Thats because I am not allowed to tell anyone my final weight until the PDSA announce it. I have been promised a chicken dinner if I keep my gob shut so … zipped.
You can read my story however in the July edition of YOUR Dog. One of the humans will get round to uploading a scan at some point but we will have to wait until the August edition comes out first or we may get a spanked botty.
But I am doing well and am enjoying the summer. I may get the picture taking human to take some more photos if the weather stays nice.

still cant say what my final “official” weigh in weight was. Need to wait until the PDSA announce it but there are some pics in my gallery that show just how much I have lost.
Oh and as soon as the humans work out how to do it there is a video clip of me treeing a squirrel.
Had Photoshoot Today
Well it appears that I am going to be in one of the national Dogs Mags soon so today there was a bit of a photo shoot. Once they have been processed I will get the camera human to upload them.
Breed Specific Legislation is wrong
I have just heard that Lennox has been sentenced to death by Belfast City Council simply for looking wrong. He hasn’t done anything wrong, hasn’t bitten anyone and is a much loved family pet.
After a long legal battle his owners were given the worst possible news today. In England it would have been possible for Lennox to be entered onto a register and continue to live a happy, if somewhat restricted, life but sadly Northern Ireland doesn’t have quite the same laws as we do over here and so he has been sentenced to death.
if you feel that BSL is wrong and that an animal should be judged on its actions and not on how it looks please join the face book group and do what you can to raise awareness of Lennoxs plight. Lennox is a 5 yr old American Bull dog Labrador cross who because he fits a type definition will die if an appeal is unsuccessful.

Why “The Moog”?
I have received literally a couple of emails asking why I am nicknamed “moog”.
Well it all stems from a Kids Tv programme back in the days when having 4 channels was considered a luxury. The Programme was called Will o the Wisp and was about some swamp and a TV set from what I can gather.
Anyhow there was a character in it called The Moog who was basically a barrel with legs so I ended up being called this. Here is a Picture of the moog from that series:
I am not impressed to be honest and will have to have words with the humans about this.

I have been told that some more press stuff will be happening soon too so guess I had better book another pamper session.

Well moog fans I am on you tube.
There is nowhere near enough footage of me in my humble opinion but its a start. I apologise for the naff music, I had no control over that – I did suggest a nice heavy rock track but apparently they decided that something more suited to a corporate video entitled “How to do boring things all the time without killing yourself” would suffice. I will endeavour to have something more exciting for the next one.

Well moog fans I would just like to wish you all a very happy christmas.
Yesterday was fun and they relaxed the stupid diet a bit and gave me a bit of gammon and turkey…. potatoes etc. which I decided was so nice I was going to take another look at it. The only question that remained was where? Kitchen floor… nope Benny and Ellie would be in there like a shot, conservatory… bit cold out there tbh. Then it dawned on me there is a nice new rug in the living room… perfect.
Am looking forward to my christmas chew stick today and hopefully a bit more left over turkey, though after the reaction yesterday I may not have a second look at it.
Anyhow I am absolutly fine and have been out on my squirrel patrol this morning but sadly have to report that its back to the diet food.
So my next weigh in at the PDSA is on the 28th and then its time for me to celebrate new year. I am thinking party. Benson will obviously be up for it as will Ellie and Josie… Katie isnt really a party type dog and will prbably squeal on us so will have to see if she can be packed off with the humans to wherever they are going to go. Right I am off… I have a party to plan.
