I have a patch of wet eczema on my neck and it dont ‘arf pong – and it itches like buggery too.
I had a blood test last week and I have had a reaction to the bit where I was shaved. So I am currently on some steroids and anti biotic tablets to sort it out.
The good news is my levels of thyroid gubbins is good so the soloxine is working and my meds don’t need altering.
Well I went over to see Steve at the PDSA in Liverpool today to have my official weigh in.
I have lost another 1.4 kilos and am now 50.8 kilos. The great news is my Body Condition Score has just dropped to 4 (Overweight) from 5 (Obese). So I guess that this diet muck is working.
I dare say some sort of graph will appear attached to this post in the near future. yeah … there it is.
Just realised that my meds have changed. I am now on 0.5mg of Soloxine as opposed to the 0.8mg i was previously on.
Not entirely sure what this means but hopefully it means that things are going well.
For those wondering what this Soloxine thing is its a drug that they are using to help with my thyroid probelms. What it does is to help my body regulate various hormones, in particular something called T3 and T4, etc so that my other organs can function properly. I have much more energy for squirrel patrolling and moogball and am much happier.

Well went for a weigh in today and:-
Its all going in the right direction and at a controlled pace. Its not good for me to lose weight too quickly as this will put strain on other parts of my body.
I am currently looking arround to see if there is a doggy slimmer of the year contest as I am sooo going to pwn that.
I have started on the Thyroid tablets today (Soloxine 0.8 mg. for anyone interested). These will help my thyroid which at the moment is working overtime to try to get stuff into my system. The dose will need to be altered every now and then until they find the right levels.
These are in addition to the Metacam and joint supplements I am on. Hopefully these will also help me to be more active which will be great as there is a huge garden here to explore and Benny and Josie have mentioned that there are wild rabbits that are not behind stupid metal stuff. It may be a while though before I can chase them… unless they don’t mind hanging about a bit for me to catch up.
